Nike are incorporating NikeConnect technology in Chelsea's third kit for the 2018-19 season.

Used in their NBA jerseys last year, the new technology works by offering owners exclusive access to product, content and experiences by scanning a NikeConnect logo on the shirt label through the Nike app. Chelsea fans can also "participate in the development of a special Chelsea FC Shirtholder’s Edition “Fan Jersey" that includes collaborating with Nike designers during the course of a multi-stage, authentic design process, resulting in a “Fan Jersey” available to shirtholders."

The teal-coloured shirt also contains plenty of cutting-edge design, with a dynamic textural print on the shirt’s center appears at first glance to be purely a wavey pattern, but when you look closer you'll clock that it contains an aerial view of Stamford Bridge and its surrounding area. Capped off with teal blue shorts and crimson socks, the new third kit will be worn during the club’s European campaign this season.

The new NikeConnect Chelsea FC Third jersey is available now at nike.com, Nike Town London and the Chelsea Megastore at Stamford Bridge.
